Hello! I expect many goals in this game, because CSKA is typical offensive team, while PAOK just need to score goals in order to advance to next round.
I said CSKA is an offensive team. We could see this in group stage of the competition, when they scored 18 goals in 6 games, conceding 3 ones. This gives more than 3 goals in a match. I also want to add that this average is even bigger in Moscow - 13 goals in 3 games. 2 of them ended with over 3.5 goals. When it comes to PAOK, they are rather defensive team, don't score much, but as I said, today they will need to change their strategy if they think about a win.
First game between these two teams ended with 1:0 win by CSKA, but there were plenty of situations for a goal, created by both sides. PAOK had their chances at the beginning of the game. Russians, before scoring a goal, hit the crossbar. Then, Thomas Necid scored a goal and added some dangerous shots. Also Seydou Doumbia showed what he can. PAOK's first goalkeeper Kostas Chalkias was replaced in second half of that match and he won't play today. Dario Kresic is likely to be in the net, but he isn't as good as Chalkias. He doesn't have experience in European cups, so I think he could be weak point of PAOK's defense. When it comes to CSKA, they aren't in best form, because they only play in Europa League at the moment. It was visible at the beginning of the first meeting in Salonika, when they committed several mistakes. But in general they were able to control the match and win 1:0. I expect the same today - they should dominate while making several mistakes.
To sum up, I expect effective offensive football by CSKA Moscow and many goals. Good luck!

Hello! Both teams are pretty offensive-minded and I really like the odds are offered on many goals in this match.
In group stage Lech finished with 11 goals scored and 8 conceded, what gives more than 3 goals in a game. Braga played in Champions League, where it's difficult to score goals, but still they were able to get 5 goals together with 11 ones conceded. In total it gives 16 goals in 6 games, what is close to 3 goals per game.
I like this pick, because both teams will play with some changes in their squads. Hosts are without Peszko (transfered to FC Koeln) and Tshibamba (loaned out to Larissa). Several new players came to replace them - defender Hubert Wolakiewicz, midfielder Rafal Murawski and forwards Bartosz Slusarski and Vojo Ubiparip. Moreover, important defensive players are injured - Wojtkowiak and Bandrowski. Injac is doubtful. All those changes mean that this will be the first official game for Lech in this new squad. So I doubt they will play fluently, what is pretty important in defense. Also their goalkeeper, Krzysztof Kotorowski, who played some good games last year, tends to do mistakes sometimes. When it comes to Braga, they will also have to deal with some problems. Key player Matheus left to Dnipro. Several other ones are injured: Vandinho (the captain), Paulao (defender), Elderson Echiejile (left back) and Paulo Cesar (forward). All those players were of the first team. Especially defense looks undermined, what in my opinion means nothing but more goal opportunites for opponent. We shouldn't also forget that both teams like to play offensively. Braga's coach Domingos said the draw won't satisfy him and his team will fight for a win. When it comes to Lech it's obvious they will play to win. It's just impossible to defend before such a hot audience.
To sum up, I expect open game by both teams with many mistakes and many goals, even though bookmakers don't suggest it. Good luck!

Hello! Canadiens are solid team this season and are my favourite in this encounter against zig-zagging Sabres.
Canadiens are in comfortable situation. They are 5th in Western Conference with chances for a win in Northeast Division. Last Saturday they defeated Toronto 3:0. Sabres meanwhile played some good games in past weeks, but the streak was snapped by Islanders, after overtime 6:7 loss in Buffalo. In 4 meetings this season between tonight's two opponents, Canadiens won 3 times.
Montreal are really good. Their goalie Carey Price is brilliant (2.38 GAA, 0.920 saving percentage, 6 shutouts). Their defense is one of the best in the entire NHL. In offense they are lead by Czech Tomas Plekanec, who has got 45 points in 56 games. Also defender PK Subban is worth a look (7 goals, 18 assists). When it comes to Buffalo, they played some good games last month, but in general they are struggling this season. This is not the same team we could watch last years. Derek Roy, Jason Pominville or Tim Conolly aren't that effective, so is defense. Also Ryan Miller is disappointing quite often. We could see this last Saturday, when they were defeated by New York Islanders - outsider of the league. As NHL.com states, they blew 3 leads, including 4:2 early in the second period. Miller allowed 6 goals and he will be replaced by Jhonas Enroth tonight, who was recalled from AHL. It's obvious who is the favourite in the pair Price - Enroth.
Well, Habs are well organised team, they know how to win games. We can't say this about Buffalo and that's why I will take home win in this game. Good luck!

Hi! I don't believe in PBG's form so I suggest taking Siarka with small handicap help.
Hosts want to advance to playoffs this year, but at the moment they are on 10th place, 2 positions higher than last Siarka. Players from Poznan are happy because of wins in Polish Cup, but they defeated average teams there. Second thing - this cup isn't as respected as the league. In league Poznan is mediocre. They have 2-5 record at home. In the only league game this year in Poznan they were defeated by Polpharma 85:76. Siarka aren't better, they are last, but won twice in past 4 league games. In first game between these two teams in Tarnobrzeg PBG won 76:75 after OT.
Players from Poznan say they are in form, they are happy to get wins in Polish Cup. Yes, they defeated Kotwica Kolobrzeg 73:68 in Cup, but opponent wasn't best. What's more, they were trailing by over a dozen in 4th quarter and were happy to get a win. They were shooting terribly with efficiency lower than 40%. They don't have their style, they rather give the ball to playmakers and wait until something happens. If guards don't have an idea, they attack the basket, what very often doesn't end well. When it comes to visitors, they have one player injured, but other ones are ready, including all 3 key players from USA (Stanley Pringle - 13.8 ppg, Kevin Goffney - 15.7 and Louis Truscott - 12.9). At the same time coach Pamula tries to rotate the squad, giving 7-8 players a chance to play, including other 3 American players. I know they are last, but I don't think PBG is more better.
To sum up, I dont't think hosts are as big favourite as odds would suggest. That's why I give this bet a shot. Good luck!

Hello! Tonight I'm going with classic bet for Spanish league - "over".
Hosts are 13th in the table and they will have to fight to stay in Primera Division. Now they have only 4 points more than 18th Almeria. Even though Deportivo isn't "over" team (2.1 goals in average in league), we could see many goals at Riazor in last matches: 0:4 against Barcelona and 2:3 against Almeria (Copa del Rey). Sevilla meanwhile usually play "over" games (3.1 goals in average). At least 3 goals where scored in their past 3 league games.
Even though statistics of matches between these two teams would suggest rather "under", I will stick with "over". Deportivo are not good team, they have weak defense what effects in many goals conceded. They are out of form now having problems with getting wins. What's interesting, they will be without key defender Alberto Lopo tonight, while we could see returns of Michel Herrero (playmaker) and Riki (forward, who can score). Those facts suggest nothing but many goals in the game. Another reason for many goals is the fact that hosts need a win badly. Captain Manuel Pablo said that they need to feel looser, fight and get a victory. They have nothing to defend for. When it comes to Sevilla, they are in pretty good form. They are winning in the league and were close to draw against Real in Copa del Rey. The reason for their successes is brilliant offense. Scoring goals is the main philisophy they realize in order to win. At the same time, they take some risk in defense, what have resulted in only 3 clean sheets in La Liga so far. Even though Frederic Kanoute is suspended for this game, Luis Fabiano and Negredo are the players who can score. Sevilla like to organise offensive actions at wings, where they have sparkling right back Martin Caceres and Diego Capel at left wing. What's interesting, Sevilla have only 2 draws in 20 games, what suggests that they always fight for 3 points.
Well, I hope to see both teams exchanging blows since the beginning of the game, like in good boxing encounter. Good luck!

Hi! I believe Lietuvos is able to play good team basketball today not allowing hosts to get easy win.
Players from Vitoria are zig-zagging with their form. In 6 games in January they lost 3 times. Last weekend they were outscored in spanish ACB by Alicante (team fighting against relegation) by as many as 20 points (88:68). In first game of Final 16 they beat Malaga 76:71. In regular season they were beaten twice at home by not strongest teams like Polish Asseco Prokom Gdyna (75:81) or Lithuanian Zalgiris Kaunas (88:92). Lietuvos meanwhile lost first game of Final 16 against Panathinaikos 59:80, but they were leading after first half. In regular season they were able to beat FC Barcelona. In Lithuanian league they are pretty solid (2n place, 11-2 record). Last weekend they outscored Naglis 102:69.
I know league games doesn't affect European cups, but still they can say something about team's form. And well, Caja Laboral form doesn't convince me. Even their coach Dusko Ivanovic admired: "We are not playing well lately but I trust that we will be able to be back on the right path soon." Their guard, Fernando San Emeterio said the same: "Truth is that lately things are not working out that well." When it comes to Lietuvos, I'm sure they will fight today. They are able to show strong defense. Even though they are without Gecevicius and Jasikevicius, two new players arrived to replace them: Simas Jasaitis from Galatasaray and DJ Strawberry from New Orleans Hornets. They have also two big men who can work in the paint effectively - Cemal Nalga and Jonas Valanciunas. Also Lietuvos bench seems not bad - 9-10 players are getting their minutes in every game.
To sum up, I don't think difference between these two teams is as big at the moment as odds show. That's why I advice to give Lietuvos a chance today. Good luck!

Hello! Anwil have better players and better team, so I expect them to win today.
Both teams are occupying low places of polish league, AZS is 10th while Anwil 8th. Atmosphere is different in both clubs though. Hosts have won past 5 games while Anwil are on 5-game losing streak. Team from Koszalin beat leader Czarni Slupsk 2 weeks ago, while Anwil noticed another loss after tight game against Turow. Nevertheless, Anwil was able to win against AZS last year in first round of the season. There was a break because of All-Star game last weekend, so teams had some more time for practicing.
First thing that should be considered as a chance for Anwil is the fact that AZS will be without one of their key players - Marcin Sroka. He left the club and will be playing in Ukraine. He was pretty important figure of the team - 28 minutes per game, 10.8 points, almost 3 rebounds, many 3-pointers. AZS's coach Mariusz Karol said that he will have to reorganize the team, some players will have to play on new positions. He also admired that at the moment Anwil is better personally. So, even though atmosphere in the club is really good and they have been winning, this game will be really difficult for them. Especially that Anwil need a win badly. To say they are determined it's not enough. They lost past 2 games after dramatic endings. Even though they are losing, coach Emir Mutapcic is glad how they play in defense. They only need to improve offensively. And I'm sure they have players who can do the thing. DJ Thompson, who will be playing against his former club, is doing better and better as a point guard. Center Eric Hicks knows how to bring energy off the bench. Nikola Jovanovic is another good player who can score (44% three point shooter). Also another center Paul Miller is quite effective. All in all I think they need some luck to get back on track.
Suming it up, I expect a game full of fight, especially at the beginning, but in my opinion Anwil is able to take control in this game. I give them more than 50% chance for a win so such odds are tempting for me. Good luck!

Hello! Oswiecim are higher in the table, are better team and are in better form. That's why I choose them today.
Hosts are 5th in the table, with 10 points less than 3rd Oswiecim. In 3 games between these two teams, Oswiecim won twice at home (5:2, 3:2), while Sanok were better once (5:3 at home). I think this rule will be broken today and visitors will get a win.
Players from Sanok, even though they are on quite good position in the table, are dealing with some problems last days. Many players are suffering flu. It effected in Gdansk last Sunday, where Sanok were beaten 5:1. Their captain, Maciej Mermer, after that meeting said, that practically every player is ill, everybody is taking medication. That's why they were lacking power and efficiency. Moreover, their coach Milan Jancuska was very frustrated at press conference after that game. It was close to fistcuffs. Atmosphere in the team can't be good if coach does things like that. Furthermore, they had long trip to and from Gdansk, what isn't good for physical condition. When it comes to Oswiecim, they are in better form in my opinion. They won many games last weeks, scoring many goals. They are more consistent, the team is more experienced, there are several good players from Czech Republic and Slovakia. Goaltender Krzysztof Zborowski should also be considered as one of keys to Oswiecim succes today.
All in all, visitors are better team, they are in good form and should be favourite in my opinion. The fact that hosts won 13 of 15 home meetings doesn't convince me at the moment. Good luck!

Hi! Even though hosts are on last position in the table I'm sure they are able to play good game against Zastal.
Siarka are worst team of the league with 2-10 record. Though, they won in December a game against Kotwica 97:87 after OT. Zastal are 6th in the table with not bad record (6-6), but they lost 5 out of past 6 games. They are poor away team (1-5). In 3 of those 5 losses they scored less then 70 points (66, 61 and 60).
Team from Tarnobrzeg is last, but they are now playing decent basketball as for polish league. It's probably because of coach change. Now it's Bogdan Pamula, who was assistant coach before. What's interesting, their assistant coach is active player - Eric Taylor. Under new boss they are 1-1 in the league. They also won an away game in Polish Cup against Polonia Warszawa. Eric Taylor said that now, playing like that, they got belief in winning many games. New coach is also distributing playing minutes better, because they play with 7-8 players, not 5-6, like it was before. There are several American players who contribute well for the team. Especially form of PG Stanley Pringle is promising for the team. He averages 13.2 points per game, but is able to score 25-27 while having good day. When it comes to visitors, they were big surprise in the beginning of the season, but they are playing poorly now. They have some roster problems. It's officially stated that Trenton Marshall will leave the team. Center Tomasz Kesicki is still questionable. It's said, that atmosphere in the team isn't best after last losses.
Zastal's coach Tomasz Herkt said they feel optimistic and will fight like on the war today. He knows it will be tough. So do I, in my opinion both teams have equal chances for a win, so odds like 2.5-2.6 on home team seems nice. Good luck!
